A tragic motorcycle crash claims a Hueytown man's life.
In western Jefferson County, Missouri, a motorcycle rider lost his life in an accident involving just one vehicle on a calm Tuesday morning.

The victim has been recognized by the Jefferson County Coroner's Office as Hueytown native Jerry Alan Gill, 55. The fatal collision happened in the Bessemer region at 11:09 a.m. in the 7900 block of Lock 17 Road. Unfortunately, by 11:37 a.m., Gill was declared deceased at the site.
Many issues remain unanswered as authorities have not yet disclosed the cause of the disaster. The inquiry into what caused this tragic event is presently being led by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
